Company registration in a virtual office after the VAT amendment
The amendment to the Goods and Services Tax (VAT) Act of September 22, 2016 covers a large group of taxpayers. p>
We have already described the restrictions on the quarterly form of VAT settlement, which may cause problems for some taxpayers. Today it's time for changes regarding the registration of VAT payers.
In some cases, the Head of the Tax Office will make the registration of an entity conditional on the submission of a registration deposit.
In most cases, this will apply to entities and persons who have tax arrears exceeding PLN 20,000 or have been legally convicted of tax crimes. Such restrictions are understandable. However, the requirement to submit a registration deposit will also apply to entities that use the services of so-called virtual offices.
Such a change may significantly affect the functioning of entities renting legal addresses, causing an outflow of customers.
The registration deposit in question cannot be lower than PLN 20,000 and higher than PLN 200,000! And it will be submitted for a period of 1 year from the end of the month in which it was submitted.
The new regulations are to apply from January 2017. Time will tell what the actual effects of the new regulations are and how they translate into the functioning of the office space rental market.
